Traveling to Wyoming

I’m trying something different today, let me know what you think! I’m traveling to Wyoming and there were several spots that just caught my eye and I wanted to share them with you so instead of pictures I did videos. So here are the videos, they are short and sweet.

This is at the Arizona/Nevada border on the first day of my drive. My goal was to stop at Mesquite so I still had a ways to go yet but the sunset had been beautiful and the afterglow was even more so and I wanted to share it with you which is when I came up with the idea of doing a blog with videos. I did make it to Mesquite but it was late, 11:30 which made for a short night as I planned on being on the road before 7. My short night was made worse by my neighbor starting up their generator at 3am. I guess that is one of the perils of boondocking but even then you are supposed to be courteous.

I went from 90 degrees at 7am in Mesquite to snow in Salt Lake to 45 degrees in Cody. It is a good thing that I carry my wardrobe with me at all times!

This is Boysen State Park in Wyoming. While there might have been better views I could have gotten I was running out of time and wanted to catch this beautiful sky plus I needed a big enough space to pull over onto. Once I got outside I was attacked by a swarm a mosquitoes so I am surprised that this turned out as well as it did since I felt like I was jumping around trying to avoid the masses.

This was my last stop before getting into Cody. I drove 12 1/2 hours that day (I don’t recommend doing that in an RV as I was exhausted by the time I pulled in.) I had made many stops along the way, made a miscalculation on fuel and ended up in Bagdad, AZ (about 45 mins out of my way) and even took an hour nap. My time from start to finish was actually around 15 hours.

This is a little taste of my driving day, although not a typical driving day. Let me know what you think of this format as a change up every once in a while, is it a yay or a nay?

As always, please share with family and friends and I hope you have enjoyed this little break.
